The Story Behind the Company

It started with a rooftop.

A group of seven technology veterans — each with years inside large enterprises, each quietly restless for something more — sat down one evening at a rooftop restaurant and bar in Kolkata. No agenda. No deck. Just an honest conversation about what was possible if you stopped playing it safe.

We were good at our jobs. But corporate life had a ceiling, and we’d all bumped our heads against it one too many times. We knew the problems in Retail and Supply Chain technology intimately. We’d lived them from the inside. And we believed there was a smarter, bolder way to solve them.

That first meeting turned into many more — over strong coffee in Kolkata’s neighbourhood cafes, over chai at roadside eateries, across late-night calls and weekend whiteboard sessions. Through 2023, the idea kept getting sharper. The conviction kept getting stronger. The plan kept getting more real.

We brought with us decades of hands-on experience in Retail and Supply Chain technology, a clear point of view on where the industry needed to go, and the conviction that an AI-first approach could get it there. ReTechPrime was the result.
